Hi! My name is Farah Eltohamy (she/her), and I'm an independent Seattle-based journalist. I most recently was an investigative reporter for Cascade PBS (formerly Crosscut), where I covered housing, migrant workers' rights and immigration enforcement. I started In Foresight after realizing I didn’t want to give up on immigration reporting — but this time by mobilizing my own communities in the fight against immigration enforcement in the way I knew best: through trustworthy, human-centered journalism.

In Foresight will heavily focus on resistance efforts from Seattle's Muslim and Global South diasporas. I plan to publish this newsletter on a biweekly schedule, alternating between resource guides + explainers, Q&As, guest essays from local organizers and community leaders as well as original depth reporting.
